Data Sourcing & Opt-out
Last updated · October 19, 2026
We build B2B prospect lists for sales teams and agencies. This page explains where that data comes from, the legal basis we rely on, how we keep it accurate — and how anyone can ask to be removed.
01
Where our data comes from
Each list is assembled for a specific client brief from a combination of:
- licensed B2B data providers we hold accounts with, such as Lusha, Findymail, Prospeo, ContactOut and Dropcontact;
- professional-network research, such as confirming that a person still holds a role;
- publicly available business information — company websites, press releases, job postings and business directories;
- verification services that check whether an email address or phone number is active.
We use different providers depending on the region and the data requested; the providers we use for a delivery can be disclosed to the client on request.
We only collect professional information: name, job title, employer, business email and business or mobile phone used for work, plus company firmographics. We don't collect sensitive personal data.
02
Legal basis
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process professional contact data on the basis of legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): enabling relevant business-to-business communication. We balance this against individuals' rights by limiting data to professional details, keeping it accurate, and honouring every objection and removal request.
03
Accuracy & verification
- Emails are checked for syntax, domain and mailbox validity before delivery; risky addresses are labelled or removed.
- Phone numbers are checked for line type and active status, and scrubbed against do-not-call registries where applicable.
- Lists are built per request rather than resold from a stale database, and recurring lists are re-verified.
04
Client responsibilities
Clients receive data for B2B outreach only and must follow the outreach laws that apply to them — including honouring unsubscribes and do-not-call requests. See our Terms of Service for the full acceptable-use rules.
05
Remove your details
If you'd like your details removed from our database and suppressed from future deliveries, email privacy@scrapezen.com with your name and work email. We'll confirm within 30 days (usually much sooner) and add you to a permanent suppression list so you aren't included in future lists.
06
Security
Client deliveries are stored with access restricted to the requesting client and our staff, and data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our hosting provider.
